Winter Covers of The New Yorker

I have a long love affair with covers of The New Yorker. Instantly classic and quirky, it feels quintessentially East Coast and metropolitan. I am always a sucker for excellent art design, whimsical illustrations, and nods to seasonal/current affairs.

While winter continues to stretch on and days alternate between freezing and overcast, here are some of my favorite winter covers from January...I love how they capture the feeling of quiet and taking refuge inside. Although, the one with the dog and piano is all too apropos for the long, unending days sometimes.
